Trip Days are an exciting part of Fernwood Cove’s weekly program. Fernwood Cove offers our campers an active outdoor tripping program that is nature based, hike, bike, beach, canoe, natural waterslides and waterfall trips.

Each trip is a small group consisting of 8 to 10 campers and two staff members. Trips occur throughout Maine and New Hampshire’s White Mountains.

Overnights

Every camper participates in an age appropriate overnight camping experience. Campers cook dinner by the campfire and enjoy a summertime favorite, S’mores. Our oldest campers go on age-group overnights focusing on team-building, rock climbing in Acadia National Park, and whitewater rafting in Northern Maine.

Qualified staff members accompany each group and any trips that involve aquatic activities are accompanied by a staff member who is First Aid and Lifeguard certified.
